As a photographer, there’s nothing quite like the magic of a beach sunset session. Recently, I had the privilege of traveling to the stunning Pass-A-Grille Beach in St. Petersburg, Florida, to capture a beautiful family’s precious moments. With its pristine white sand, swaying palm trees, and endless views of the Gulf of Mexico, Pass-A-Grille Beach provided the perfect backdrop for this unforgettable session. However, living in Indianapolis, it definitely made it hard for me to travel home after this one.

Located in the historic district of St. Pete Beach, Pass-A-Grille is a hidden gem that boasts a laid-back vibe and breathtaking natural beauty. It’s no wonder why it’s a favorite spot for family portraits, engagements, and even elopements. The combination of soft pastel skies, gentle ocean waves, and golden hour lighting makes this location a dream for photographers and families alike. Nonetheless, I cannot tell you how many awesome shells, sand dollars & sting ray stingers I found on the shore! I was like a kid in a candy store on this beach. A Family’s Story Through My Lens
The family I photographed was full of warmth, love, and laughter. They chose this location not just for its beauty but also because it holds sentimental value to them. From their coordinated outfits in soft neutrals and blues to their playful interactions, every detail was thoughtfully planned. Furthermore, my goal was to showcase their unique bond against the stunning coastal scenery. Beach photos are really easy for me to capture when it comes to families. I say this because kids naturally pose for me when they are playing in the water, looking for shells and running around!
